Letterpress Communications earned a first-place national award at the National Federation of Press Women’s (NFPW) 2024 Professional Communications Contest on June 22, 2024. This accolade highlights the innovative and effective social media strategy executed by the Letterpress team, elevating Green Front Furniture Northern Virginia’s (NOVA) presence in the competitive Northern Virginia and DC Metro markets.
The national recognition by NFPW followed a first-place award at the Virginia Professional Communicators (VPC) Contest in April. Letterpress was one of 13 VPC members to be honored by NFPW.
“Working with Letterpress Communications has been a game-changer for Green Front Furniture,” said Green Front Furniture President and CEO Den Cralle. "We are thrilled with the remarkable growth and engagement we've seen as a result of Letterpress’s innovative strategies. As a business headquartered in rural Virginia, Green Front’s success benefits Southern Virginia as a whole.”
“Letterpress’s mission is to help rural communities thrive,” said Letterpress Founder and Principal Ilsa Loeser. “Our work with Green Front supports a key economic driver for the town of Farmville. We’re excited that we’re able to bring attention and dollars from one of the nation's largest metro areas to work a return in rural Virginia.”
Social Media Strategy
Driven by Senior Account Executive Melanie Harris and Account Executive & Social Media Manager Jenn Kinne, Green Front NOVA’s social media strategy highlighted a holistic overview of the shopping experience. Harris and Kinne worked with Senior Writer Jessica Broaddus and Engagement Specialist Karyn Keane. Their strategic approach incorporated user-generated content from interior designers and customers, enhancing authenticity and community connection. The campaign's objectives were to increase followers, organic reach, audience engagement and time spent on the page — all of which were achieved.
In 2023, Green Front NOVA’s Facebook account saw a 370% increase in followers, a 100% increase in organic reach, a 291% increase in content engagement and a 91% increase in time spent on the page. The Instagram account saw a 245% increase in followers with a 100% increase in organic reach, content engagement and clicks.
“Green Front is truly unique and we believe our community-focused, place-based approach to their social media is one reason it has been so successful,” said Loeser. “Our team’s dedication to crafting insightful strategies has not only bolstered Green Front NOVA’s brand but also reinforced our mission to leverage community for sustainable growth.”
