Rural Virginia marketing agency extends national recognition streak to six consecutive years
FARMVILLE, Va. (Sept. 28, 2026) – Two Virginia stories with deep roots in community earned national recognition for Letterpress Communications at the National Federation of Press Women’s (NFPW) 2026 Professional Communications Contest on Sept. 26, 2026. The Farmville-based marketing agency earned first place for a Green Front Furniture blog highlighting American-made furniture. It placed third for a social media strategy designed to connect The Harvest Foundation more deeply with the Martinsville-Henry County community.
The awards extend Letterpress’ streak of national NFPW recognition to six consecutive years, with eight national honors since 2021.
First Place | Blog (Corporate or For-Profit)
Letterpress took first place in the Blog (Corporate or For-Profit) category for “Green Front’s Guide to the Best American-Made Furniture: Part 1 (2025 Picks + Forever Favorites).” Written by Letterpress Senior Writer Jessica Broaddus and led by Director of Community Success Jennifer Kinne, the blog highlighted Green Front’s selection of American-made furniture, the craftsmanship behind it and the company’s relationships with trusted domestic manufacturers. The article generated 12,679 page views in 2025 with judges praising its strong writing, clear focus and supporting photography.
Third Place | Social Media Presence (Nonprofit, Government or Educational)
Letterpress also earned third place for Social Media Presence (Nonprofit, Government or Educational) for its work with The Harvest Foundation. Led by Project Manager Ronda Gentry and Social Media Manager Karyn Keane, the 2025 strategy helped the foundation showcase community impact, amplify local voices and make its work more accessible to Martinsville-Henry County residents. Over the year, the Foundation’s 168 posts generated more than 358,000 views, while its audience grew by 738 followers — a 27.6% increase from 2024.
"This recognition from the National Federation of Press Women affirms something we believe deeply: that storytelling, told directly by and to our community, is at the heart of good philanthropy,” said Harvest Foundation President Kate Keller. “We're proud to have built our social media presence around transparency and real voices from Martinsville and Henry County. We greatly appreciate our partners at Letterpress, whose support helped us build a genuine community around our work."
“Our team and our work have evolved a lot over the past six years, but the way we approach our work hasn’t changed,” said Letterpress CEO Alexandra Veatch. “We listen closely, stay curious and work alongside our clients. Seeing that approach recognized nationally year after year is something we’re especially proud of.”
