“We need to remember what's important in life: friends, waffles, work. Or waffles, friends, work. Doesn't matter, but work is third.” ― Leslie Knope
I lead Letterpress with a creative eye and a community-first mindset. As CEO I help our team support clients in telling compelling stories, but also in building stronger, more connected communities.
My journey into community-powered marketing began with roles in admissions, tourism, nonprofits and local government — each rooted in service and strategy. Whether I was managing recreation and event spaces at Hungry Mother State Park or driving community and economic development initiatives for the Town of Marion, I’ve always believed in the transformative power of place-based storytelling.
Living and working in Southwest Virginia, I’ve seen firsthand how creativity, grit and community pride can drive real change. I approach my work with collaboration, curiosity and a deep respect for the local voices at the heart of every project. From these mountains to wherever the next challenge takes us, I’m here to turn big ideas into practical outcomes — for good.
A Few Things I’m Proud Of
- Virginia’s High Point, a destination campaign for Visit Smyth County that brought bold visuals and fresh voice to Southwest Virginia tourism.
- The work that our team does day in and day out to serve our clients and their communities.

Alex is your unofficial brand therapist. She listens deeply, asks smart questions and helps organizations tell the truth about who they are — then says it beautifully. Outside the office she enjoys strong coffee, scenic detours through small towns and long strolls through antique stores.
